Top-notch equipment
The new Type S Integra was officially announced for sale a
few hours ago, with a release date set for June 2023. The model will make its
debut at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach this weekend. As a preview, Acura
has released a video of the vehicle in action:
According to Acura's press release, the Integra Type S
produces 320 horsepower, compared to the Type R, which has slightly less power.
This is due to a high-revving four-cylinder engine. In addition, the car is
equipped with a turbocharged 2-liter VTEC engine, a 6-speed manual
transmission, a limited-slip differential, and an adaptive damping system. As
for the design: The high-performance car is wide and equipped with 19-inch
wheels. It has a triple exhaust outlet mounted in the center at the back. There
are also large front air intakes, hood vents, and a rear diffuser. Here's what
it looks like from the front: If the basic equipment is not enough, you can
customize your vehicle with Acura accessories, such as carbon mirror caps or
rear lip spoilers, a copper metallic emblem, or a titanium shift knob.
Inside, there are four seats, with the front ones being
heated and covered in Alcantara. Alcantara can also be found on the shift
lever, while the steering wheel is adorned with leather. Colored stitching and
other standout details give the interior that extra kick. In addition, there is
a 10.2-inch touchscreen display with special graphics at the front. The car is
built at the Auto Plant in Marysville, Ohio, USA. While the exact price is not
yet known, it is speculated that it will be priced slightly higher than the
Civic Type R.
