Musk works on TruthGpt, a chatbot 'seeking the truth'

Elon Musk's plans for his artificial intelligence company are starting to take shape.

The CEO of Twitter, after quietly founding the X.AI Corp company, has said he wants to "create a third option" in the field of generative and conversational artificial intelligence, to compete with OpenAI and Google.

In an interview with Fox News, Musk launched the idea of calling his chatbot "TruthGpt," a project that aims to create "the ultimate artificial intelligence seeking truth, which wants to understand the nature of the universe" and "hopefully does more good than harm."

Musk admitted to being late to the field, as other organizations have already released their projects and are in a "more advanced" state. As Engadget recalls, Elon Musk often announces ambitious projects that are not finalized.

It is therefore not clear how much truth there is behind the announcement of TruthGpt. However, speculation about Musk's intentions in the field of artificial intelligence has recently increased. First of all, for the birth of X.AI Corp, which replaced Twitter as the official bureaucratic nomenclature. Years ago, Musk admitted that in the future he wanted to create an ultimate app, called "X".

A few days ago, the magnate bought thousands of GPUs, graphic processing units also used to enhance AI algorithms, to integrate them into Twitter one day, as well as hiring some DeepMind researchers for a project that is currently unknown. After co-founding OpenAI, the developer of ChatGpt, Musk distanced himself from the other partners due to divergences. Recently, he criticized the foundation for collaborating with Microsoft in the launch of the Bing search engine powered by the company's chatbot.
