Deutsche Bank has announced that it has reached an agreement to acquire Numis, a UK-based corporate brokerage and advisory firm, for £410 million ($512 million). According to the announcement made by Deutsche Bank, the bank will merge its corporate finance activities in the UK and Ireland with Numis. As part of the deal, Numis shareholders will receive 350 pence per share, for a total payment of £410 million. The completion of the transaction is expected to take place in the last quarter of this year. Numis provides strategic advisory and corporate brokerage services to 166 clients, including 64 clients that represent 20% of the FTSE 350 index. Deutsche Bank's Corporate Bank and Investment Bank President Fabrizio Campelli, whose views were included in the announcement, stated that the acquisition was consistent with their global strategies, and that they expected the merger to allow them to deepen their relationships with companies in the UK by leveraging their shared customer base to generate more revenue.
